Project

Final Major Collection

Project Brief -
For this term’s Final Major Project, we were asked to select a fashion brand that aligns with our personal design philosophy and potential career path. The aim was to explore a brand whose creative direction resonates with us and to develop a concept that reflects both our individual aesthetic and the brand’s core identity. The project involved in-depth research into the brand’s history, design ethos, visual language, and target market, forming the basis for a new concept that stays true to its values while introducing a fresh perspective. We were also encouraged to consider storytelling and brand identity, ensuring the final collection is both creatively authentic and professionally relevant.

Concept -
This collection is inspired by the quiet beauty found in things that change — dried flowers, old film reels, and the soft fading of time. These elements, though altered by age, hold a depth and texture that feels more honest and real. The focus is on ephemerality — not in a melancholic way, but as a reminder that change can be graceful. Dried petals and faded frames became starting points for textures, tones, and forms. Faint floral prints, washed colours, and delicate surface details reflect a softened, lived-in quality. This collection is about appreciating what time leaves behind, and embracing change as part of the design — not something to resist, but something to work with. It’s minimal, but deeply felt.
