Regencycore X Billie Eilish

Project Brief -
For this term project, we were assigned to research various cultures or subcultures to gain insight into their fashion. Based on WGSN trends, we then curated 10 looks and styled a celebrity for three different occasions.

Concept -
Regencycore is a subculture inspired by the elegance of the early 19th-century Regency era, blending historical romance with modern sophistication. Popularized by shows like Bridgerton, it features empire waist dresses, puff sleeves, structured corsetry, and delicate ruffles, creating a dreamy, feminine silhouette. Luxurious fabrics like silk, lace, and tulle, along with pastel and jewel-toned palettes, add to its regal charm. Accessories such as pearls, gloves, and tiaras enhance the opulent, vintage feel. Whether in evening wear or everyday styling, Regencycore captures the essence of aristocratic refinement with a contemporary twist. Billie Eilish was styled for various occasions, including a Met Gala after-party, a royal-themed brunch, and a music promotion event, with looks inspired by the subculture. The outfits featured a curated selection of dresses, skirts, pants, tops, shoes, and accessories from different brands and designers.
